About First Assure Quality
Our Mission
First Assure Quality provides standards-based quality assessments for providers of healthcare, with the following two primary aims in mind:
- Helping providers to deliver healthcare services to the highest quality standards
- Helping providers to get, or be in, a continuous state of readiness for Care Quality Commission (CQC) assessments
Your quality assessor
The founder and principal assessor of First Assure Quality, Stefan Verstraelen, MSc, MBA, is a qualified Physiotherapist, who has worked as an inspection manager for the CQC and has worked as a Deputy Director of Quality Governance and as a Director of Governance in the NHS.
Having worked in these roles, Stefan has gained significant knowledge, skills and competencies that will enable him to provide a qualified professional opinion on the quality of healthcare services you provide.
Our Methodology
First Assure Quality applies the following methodology:
- Carry out standards-based quality assessments based on the CQC’s Single Assessment Framework, informed by the provider’s wants and needs
- Provide a professional opinion on the quality of services
- Produce an independent and confidential, high-level Quality Assessment report
- Provide, where needed, recommendations on how to make improvements
